Why are BAS Hoods the best in the world?

The cabriolet hood market has changed dramatically over the last 10 years, manufacturers of convertible cars have pushed their suppliers to provide them with hoods that are both quicker and easier to install.  To do this they had to get away from the time consuming process of glueing.

Plastic extrusions were the first idea to speed up this process, a simple "snap" into place plastic sewn to the hood and pushed into a groove on the hood frame, injection moulding followed this, tooling for these parts was much more expensive than the extrusions however, they could be used in complex places where extrusions could not and they also had the added benefit to the manufacturer that the chances of the aftermarket being able to copy their hood would be greatly reduced.

BAS realised that this was happening and that if we wanted to stay producing hoods in the future then we would have to invest heavily in these new technologies.

BAS bought injection moulding machinery, plastic extrusion machinery, rim injection machinery and set up a comprehensive tool shop for in house tool manufacture and maintenance.

These advances took BAS into a new league of hood manufacture that none if its competitors could follow, sales boomed as both trade and retail realised that they could buy a hood from BAS that was exactly like the original for approx. the same price as they could from our competitors who are not producing hoods to the same level as BAS.
